A Sunday School Project

A few weeks ago in our Sunday School Class for pre-K-4th grade we did a project which I thought came out very good.

The teacher in charge had the girls choose a markers that were blue, black, red, green, and yellow. Then the teacher wrote on the board the different colors and a Bible verse(s) after the color.

The girls then chose beads of the same colors and put them on a piece of string and made a bracelet. I made one also and was able to use it in an ice cream store that I was in as I was talking with a complete stranger and she brought up the subject of going to heaven.

Here are the colors and the verses. White and yellow didn't come out so that you could read them well so listed them again at the bottom in black. Just wanted to give you an idea what it looked like put together.

Blue- Means earth
(Verses)
Genesis 1:l "In the beginning God created the heaven and earth."
Colossians 1:16 "All things were created by Christ for Christ..."

Black-Means sin
(Verse)
Romans 3:23 "All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God."

Red-Means blood
(Verse)
Romans 5:8 "While we were still sinners, Christ died for us."

White- Means clean heart-forgiven
(Verse) Isaiah 1:18 "Though your sins be like scarlet they will be white as snow,"

Green- Means grow
(Verses)
Galatians 5:22, 23 "Fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control."

Yellow- Means Heaven
(Verse)
alonians 4:17 "We will be with the Lord Forever.

Again all the colors are Blue which means earth. Black means sin. Red means blood of Christ. White means a clean heart and forgiveness and the verse for this one is Isaiah 1:18 Though your sins be like scarlet they will be white as snow. Green means grow or growing in your Christian life by having the fruit of the Spirit. Yellow means heaven and I Thessalonians 4:17 tells that we will be with the Lord forever.

With beads or other objects you can make many things with these colors and tell the Salvation plan that God has for us.

Thought
Why don't you try it and see if it works as a simple tool for you to share the Good News of Christ's death, burial, and rising again and going to be with His Father in heaven again.
