Psalm 46:10
Be still, and know that I am God.

This verse is a good one especially if you are going through a trial.

Maybe you are like me and sometimes your mind is going about a thousand miles a minute. Just think of this verse. Be still, and know that there is a God who loves you.

Thoughts

Psalm 139:13-16
"For you created my inmost being, you knit me together in my mother's womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;your works are wonderful, I know that full well.
My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place. When I was woven together in the depths of the earth, your eyes saw my unformed body.
All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be."

As I was eating my breakfast yesterday morning I kept thinking about how amazing my body was. God created me. He knew what He wanted me to be like. My hair color, my eyes, and other features that I have. He made me just the way He wanted.

I have not always loved myself in a way that I should. I have often times felt useless, unloved, and many other thoughts. But by believing these lies I am saying to God I don't like my life.

Then I realized what I was doing and I asked forgiveness from God. I am much happier now and I know that God is much happier with me also.

How About You?
Do you feel good about yourself? Do you realize how wonderfully you are made? Do you believe God has created you the way that He wants you?

Jesus Can Open Our Minds

Luke 24:45
"Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures."

Jesus was walking on the road side with Emmaus and Cleopas and asking them what they were talking about. The man asked Jesus, not knowing it was Him, "Haven't you heard about Jesus of Nazareth?" They didn't recognize Him at this point.

The men went on and told Jesus of the things they had just learned that Jesus was no longer in the tomb.

Jesus listen and when they got to the village the men asked Jesus to stay and eat with them. He did so and when Jesus blessed the food it was then revealed to the men who Jesus was.

It was then that Jesus opened their minds so they could understand the Scriptures.

Question
Has Jesus opened our minds so that we too can understand the Scriptures. How do we know for sure?

Spring Is Almost Here

In my area of the country it is still just a bit cold but so much better than 27 below zero. We are almost up to 60 degrees.

It has been a very busy and painful winter. First, I have gotten my book written that I wanted to do and now I have to edit it and get it ready to send to the publisher. It is a seasonal devotional with ten pages for each season. Both women and men can read it and I think they would both like it. Thank you for your prayers.

I am also teaching Sunday School for 3-5 years-old. There is only one that shows up but we are having a great time. This young fellow needs lots of love and attention. He is very smart for his age and he certainly knows what he wants so need to calm him done a bit but love working with him. We are praying that our Sunday School for younger boys and girls will grow. Most of our congregation right now are in the middle age or older group. But we are beginning to see new faces and age groups coming.

I am also church historian and am trying to write a booklet containing material since 1995. Got up to 2009 written up. And now that the weather is warmer I want to get to doing the crafts that I can only do outside because of the flumes that the material creates when I am making the craft.

The pain part is my feet and my back. My feet I have diabetic nerve pain and the pain in my back is due to having three kidney stones. Two one one side and one on the other side. As long as the stones stay in my kidney nothing is going to be done for them. If they start to travel then there is going to be a lot more pain involved. Pray the Lord's will be done in this matter as either way there is pain.

Remember-The Lord is in control of everything!
