John 2:1-11
Jesus Turns Water Into Wine
There was a marriage taking place in Cana of Galilee and Jesus and his disciples were asked to come to the wedding. Jesus's mother was there also.
They needed wine at the wedding and Jesus' mother told Jesus this. Jesus asks his mother, "How does this concerns you or me. My time has not yet come." Jesus' mother told the servants to do whatever Jesus tells them to do.
There were six water pots available and Jesus told the servants to fill the water pots with water. They filled them up. They were to draw out the water and bear it into the governor of the feast. And so that is what they did. When the ruler of the feast had tasted the water that was made wine, and knew not whence it came from. The servants knew where it came from. The governor of the feast called the bridegroom, and said unto him, "Every man at the beginning doth set forth good wine; and when men have well drunk, then that which is worse; but you have kept the good wine until now.
This was the beginning of miracles did Jesus in Cana of Galilee, and manifested forth his glory; and his disciples believed on him.
