Writing Your Prayers

The thought for today is writing out our prayers. I do this sometimes when I do my Bible Study on Read The Bible site. But I have never thought about doing it in other places. Such as this blog, Bible devotion, Twitter, Facebook.

This idea is coming to me as I am listen to a program called Grace Cafe and the special guest is Mary DeMuth. So I am going to pray today.

Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for this idea that you have shown me. I pray for those who read this site. There are many I don't know but You do. There are many I feel that need Your arms around them to help them through a trial. There maybe someone who is rejoicing over something that has happen and so I rejoice in my heart for these people. You are such a great God! I pray for those or someone who does not know Jesus as their Savior. That today they will come to know Him. And I pray these things in the Name of Jesus.

The Gospel Message-I Corinthians 15:1-8
"...Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; and that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:"

Sins-Missing the mark. Adam in the book of Genesis was given a command by God not to eat of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. Adam's wife Eve chose to eat from the tree and gave it to Adam and that became sin because Adam disobeyed God by eating the fruit of the tree. So every one born after this time has a sin nature.

Christ was sent to pay for the penaility of our sins and that we will no longer be seperated from God.

Have To Much Stuff!

I really have a lot of---stuff. I need to get rid of it but I am an artist that uses such things as boxes, tiles, paint, wax, clay, and stained glass. So I like to keep and find things that are unusal to put on these things that I use for my craft making projects. I am also a writer and have folders all around with ideas in them. Then I get so many ideas I don't know which file to put them in as I cut out pictures etc. It is so bad that my husband now says, "Do I keep this or do I throw it out?"

I do have some vacation coming up so I think I will be able to get a lot of things put away in a proper place. I will need to label everything because once I clean and put things in their place and a place for everything I can't find them. If I just have little piles of things here and there no problem.

I know what I need to do it and so I just need to do it. That is what the Lord tells me all the time. JUST DO IT! So I guess I better listen and do it.

How about you? Do you have a lot of stuff?

Sad Day

This morning I found out that my cousin went to be with the Lord last evening. Then this evening I found out that one of my friends also past away this week and is now with the Lord. Then on Saturday I am attending a memorial service for my former Pastor of 34 years who passed away earlier this year.

So today is a very sad day and all of these people will be missed greatly.

A Sad Day

Today I found out that my cousin passed away last evening. He had been sick since November and he just had a test yesterday to see if he had cancer. But by late evening he went to be with the Lord. He will greatly missed. We grew up together and he was one of inner circle of cousins until he moved to a different state. We kept in contact by facebook.

I also learned today that one of my friends also passed away this week. This is also sad news but I know she too is with the Lord. She had been in a lot of pain and could not move without being in extreme pain. Now she is pain free but it is hard on her family and friends left behind.

Also this Saturday I will be going to a memorial service for our former Paster of thirty-four years. He passed away a couple of months ago and this week is the time the family chose to remember him.

So I must admit that it is a very sad time but have very good memories of all three people involved.

Haiku Poem

Today I feel like sharing a Haiku poem with you. Haiku poems are about nature and when I think about nature I think about God. For without God we would have no things of nature.

A Two Hour Wait

Today my husband had to go for an ultra sound at a local hospital and we got there early because we had never been to this place and we didn't know if he might have to do some more paper work.

They took my husband into the room and he was back out in about twenty minutes. I was so surprise. But so happy because my husband thought it was going to be an eight-hour test.

A couple of weeks ago he was hurt by having a exercise bike fall on his leg. It swelled up and was three different places it hit him on his leg and it wasn't healing. He called the doctor's office today and he was able to get in. So again we got there early. And got in within a short time. And there seem to be only one other person ahead of us.

We talked to the nurse and my husband showed her the wounds and she left. Two hours later the doctor came in to see my husband. I know the doctor is a busy person and maybe he had an emergency but two hours.

As it turns out the doctor is good about talking to his patients and so we don't mind and we take something along with us to do while waiting because with this doctor it happens often. He gave my husband a prescription for an antibiotic and we were on our way. And he also was given a tetnus shot by the nurse. Maybe a twenty minute visit at the most.

I guess talking about it I rather have a doctor who will stop and talk to you and listen and be late then one who doesn't seem to care and gets you out as soon as possible.

Thank you Father for a caring doctor.

Gossip

As I am writing this blog I am looking at my new 2012 calendar and it has a picture of two horses. Their heads are together with their eyes, noses, and eyes lined up.

They are beautiful horses and my imagination is forming into a story. The main  horse looks like he could have a little evil streak and he is telling the other horse something like this, "Hey, Goldie, did you hear about what Saber said about Noble?"

Goldie is listening. I wonder if she will tell the next horse she meets what she heard.

Gossip is like this and it doesn't usually end in a good way. One person tells another person and then that person tells another person and by the time the story gets back to the person that it is about it is a whole new story. It didn't even happen that way. It is like the old game that I played when I was a child called telephone. And I would wisper something in the person's ear next to me and it would go down the line.

So we need to be careful what we say.
