The other day when I was at work a book came across our desk and I thought it would be fun to share some of the things that were in the book.

First the book is called, Animal Eggs by Dawn Cusick & Joanne O'Sullivan. Now to some that may not seem to interesting. But to me I enjoy learning new things.  So here we go.

Did you know that repetiles lay eggs with a rubbery, leather-like shell and they use a special egg tooth to help cut through the shell?

Did you know that male fish often stay with the eggs and "fan" them with their fins?

Did you know that the shield bug lays oblong-shaped eggs and glues the eggs to leaves with a sticky substance in its saliva?

Did you know that there are many different colored eggs that are laid? A shieldbacked pine seed bug lays blue eggs. Brown butterflies lay yellow eggs. Seagrape sawfly lay bright red eggs. And the stink bug lays pink eggs.

There are a lot more facts in the book but unless you see the pictures they wouldn't seem the same. So I will end this post with hoping  you have enjoyed this information. And if not, I understand and don't feel bad. I tend to enjoy strange things as you will find out as time goes on.

Hope all had a nice Easter.

He Is Risen!

Matthew 28:1-7
In the end of the sabbath, as it began to dawn toward the first day of the week, came Mary Magdalene and the other Mary to see the sepulchre.

And, behold, there was a great earthquake: for the angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat upon it. His countenance was like lightning, and his raiment white as snow: and for fear of him the keepers did shake, and became as dead men.

And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified. He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come see the place where the Lord lay.

And go quickly, and tell his disciples that he is risen from the dead: and, behold, he goeth before you into Galilee; there shall ye see him: lo, I have told you.

Jesus is the only ruler of a religious group that has ever risen. He is alive and someday everyone will go before Him to be judged for what they have done in their lives.
Are you ready to go before Him?

Have you accepted Him as your Savior and Lord?

Happy Easter

John MacArthur Easter Message

I wanted to write something about Easter but John MacArthur puts the message in such a good way that I am using his message.

My prayer is that all of you have a Good Easter. Some of you I know it may be a hard time maybe because of the loss of a loved one. But look to Jesus and what He did on the cross.

In order to get his message just press on John MacArthur Easter Message.

A Quiet Day

Because I am still healing from the fall I had at work at the library I did not go to work today to help my husband clean the church. So I had a very quiet day. I am feeling better today so was able to catch up on some of my computer sites. This is nice because then I don't have to sit so long when I do get to computer.

So today I am thanking the Lord for this quiet and a feeling better day. Right now the sun is shining and I am writing this post and had a great idea for a craft project. So it has been a great day.

Necessary Endings

I am not sure who recommended this book but I found that it was a very good book if you are a business person or can be used for individual life experiences.

The book I am referring to is Necessary Endings by Dr. Henry Cloud. Dr. Cloud is a leadership coach to CEOs and business executives, and a clinical psychologist with an extensive background in both the clinical and professional consulting worlds.

I like how Dr. Cloud gives great examples to prove the point that he is trying to get across. This way you have a example and then the follow-up of how it ends and what comes after.

Toward the end of the book he has a few chapters on the grieving process that we must go through when something must come to an end. It could be a relationship, or a business, or a person's job. He tells how one must feel the grief of the situation before we can move on. Face reality right in the face and then when through grieving you can truly put the end in the past and look forward to what is ahead.

He has Christan principles in his book along with his personal experiences and his doctor's training.

Again if you want to read a good book and help yourself end something that needs to be ended in your life this is the book to read.

Going For Back Treatments

Hello,
I'm back. I was able to take some pain medicine and so feeling well enough to write a short blog.

I went to the doctors today and because the pain is going to the right side of my back and higher up into the back the doctor is having me to go get treatments on my back. I will have to have at least six and then go fromt there.

So will keep you posted and am so thankful to the Lord that I have a great person I am working who cares about each person she deals with that has been hurt at their work. She is so pleasant and makes me feel at ease.

Have a great day!

Injury

Due to an injury at work, a bruised tail bone from a fall, I will not be writing everyday like I would like to. I am in a lot of pain at times. So will write when I can. Now don't stop coming to the blog. I just not able to sit that long right now.
